Transfers: Kataka FC Exciting Midfielder, Odongo Francis on Radar of Four Premier League Clubs

Four Uganda Premier League Clubs are chasing for the signature of Kataka football club midfielder, Francis Odongo.

The Mbale City-based side midfielder has attracted lots of attention from top-flight clubs due to his performance last season (2020/21).

well, the four clubs are Kampala Capital City Authority, SC Villa, Solitiro Bright Stars, and Busoga United Football Club.

Currently, the “Kasasiro Boys” as baptized have an upper hand in signing Odongoh,s he has spent days at KCCA training ground in Kampala.

Odongo Francis is the Kataka FC’s assistant captain, and featured in most of the club’s games last season.

The only game that Odongo didn’t play last season was their encounter against Paidha in Zombo which ended in a one-all draw.

Hassan Kirunda, the team manager of Kataka Football Club who also doubles as the FUFA delegate representing FUFA Big league clubs said the four UPL clubs and two other clubs outside Uganda contacted him over the same player.

“Odongo was one of our outstanding players last season” if clubs in Uganda Premier League want him we shall give him a chance to join a club of his choice. We have so many requests on the table but it’s a player himself to choose”.

Odongo started his football career at Kataka Young, crossed to Bugwere Football club before joining Kataka Football club.
