Soccer With Vision Rankings: Kanjuki Junior School Climbs to 2nd as El Cambio Academy Retains Top Spot

Kanjuki Junior School has reaffirmed its status as one of Uganda’s leading youth football institutions after being ranked second in the 2026 Soccer With Vision rankings released on Saturday, July 25, 2026.
The Kayunga-based school now sits just behind Masaka’s El Cambio Academy, one of the country’s most successful youth football academies, following another outstanding season.
Kanjuki Junior School’s impressive rise in the rankings comes after a memorable 2026 campaign in which the school was crowned champions of the Soccer With Vision Under-12 National Championship, held in Masaka earlier this month. The triumph capped off a remarkable season that also saw the school finish second in the Soccer With Vision Central Region League, which features teams from the Mukono, Luweero, Mityana, and Kampala zones.
The school’s success extends beyond football. In consistent performances over the past three years have established Kanjuki Junior School as one of the country’s top-performing primary schools in youth football.

In netball, Kanjuki Junior School’s Under-14 girls’ team qualified for the Federation of East Africa Schools Sports Associations (FEASSA) Games, which will be held in Morogoro, Tanzania, from August 12 to 23, 2026. The achievement further highlights the school’s commitment to excellence across different sporting disciplines.
Kanjuki Junior School has also enjoyed remarkable success in the Uganda Primary Schools Sports Association (UPSSA) competitions. The school won the UPSSA Under-12 Boys’ Football Championship in Soroti in 2024 before returning to the national final in Yumbe in 2025, where they narrowly lost to the hosts in a penalty shootout.

The latest Soccer With Vision rankings represent a significant improvement for Kanjuki Junior School, which was ranked seventh in the 2025 edition.

Soccer With Vision releases its rankings annually, recognizing only schools and academies that participate in its organized regional leagues and national championship. A total of 30 teams were ranked in the 2026 edition.

With national success in football and growing achievements in netball, the Kayunga-based institution continues to strengthen its reputation as one of Uganda’s premier centres for school sports excellence.
