Women Football: Kampala Queens Starts With Administrative Arrangement, Appoints Chairman Ahead of New Season
With less than two weeks to the kick off of the full FUFA Women’s Super League season, Kampala Queens FC through it’s executive appointed a new club Chairperson will steer the administrative wing of the club.
The meeting that approved the appointment of Ronald Katwalo as the chairman was held yesterday at FUFA House in Mengo and it was chaired by the club Patron who doubles as the FA president, Hon. Eng. Moses Hashim Magogo.
Katwalo, the Executive Director KARON Relief and Development Foundation and Director as well Emerald Schools-Uganda was tasked with responsibilities of heading the club Excom and taking the club to greater heights.
“I take this appointment very seriously because I see it as a chance to serve and a chance to improve women football in Uganda…. Our goal is to improve the quality of girl child life in sports and the quality of football in Uganda, we are to compete both nationally and Internationally.” Katwalo said after his appointment.
The club Patron Hon. Moses Magogo says the club needs to be given a new look as they look forward to compete on the continent as well as making Kampala Queens a professional club.
“We are setting up an Executive committee to run the day-to-day activities of the club, administratively, sportingly and business wise.”
“An Executive committee will be chaired by Ronald Katwalo, Aminah Bukenya Executive member, other members of the Excom will be announced very soon.
We want to make KQ a better club both on the field of play and administratively” says Ivan Otim the club CEO.
The newly appointed Chairman started off by creating committees that will be in charge of overseeing the activities at the club.
