Legends Match: It’s Not a Friendly, it’s a War- Kenya’s Musa Otieno Warns Uganda
Today the Kenyan legends of 27 contingent arrived in Uganda ahead of friendly matches between them and Uganda Legends to be held on Wednesday 26th and Friday 28th January 2022 at Maya Forest Resort and Barifa Stadium in Arua respectively.
The contingent arrived at 13:15hrs, they were housed at Jevine Hotel in Lubaga where they will reside until tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the leaders and coaches from both sides held a joint press conference today at Jevine Hotel where both sides revealed the greatest moments and rivalry they had during their playing Time at National team.

Musa Otieno, the coach for the Kenya Legends and former Kenya National team captain asserted that this is not a friendly game, it’s a war because at any level whenever Uganda meets Kenya in football, it’s not a joke

“This is great for us to meet again and I remember the days when we used to play against Uganda it’s was like a war. So we have not traveled from Nairobi to Uganda for just a friendly we have come for a war.”Said Otieno
The former Harambe Stars assistant Coach revealed that the greatest game between Uganda he can’t for get is when Kenya drew Uganda at Namboole and denied them qualifying the AFCON.
Kefa Kisala, Coach for Uganda Legends said that his team is well set and ready to beat Kenya, he revealed that it’s true, it’s a friendly match but that rivalry btn the two sides can’t just end.
“We have prepared well and my players have in good conditions. We are friends but like Musa stated Kenya against Uganda is a war but our aim is to win the game and we are looking forward to it.”
George Ssimwogerere, the VP of the Fraternity of Legendary Football Players and Fans Uganda Limited said that they came up with this Association to see that they come together as former players and provide a safe landing for those to retire.
He asserted that them having a friendly match is not only to have fun but also to gather ideas as former players from the region to see how they can be of value in the country and to the active players.
