UPL: Kayiwa On Target As Express FC Beat Busoga United To Register First Win Of The Season
Express FC have defeated Busoga United 2-0 in a game played on Thursday evening at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
Leading by example, Captain Allan Thierry Kayiwa, scored the opener from the spot in the 13th minute, Isaac Wagoina was fouled inside the forbidden area and Express FC was awarded a penalty to which Kayiwa calmly took to hand Mukwano Gwabangi a lead.
In the second half, Express FC doubled the lead with Odongo’s own goal following Isma Kawawulo’s teasing corner.
Unlucky Busoga United failed to find the back of the net several times when they hit the crossbar twice and also, Express FC defender Arthur Kiggundu nearly scored in his own net.

Bashamu Mugwa had pulled one back at the death of the game but he was flagged offside.
A highly contested affair, ended as The Eagles took the maximum points home with a convincing 2-0 win. Express FC’s Isaac Wagoina was named the man of the match.
This was Busoga United’s second loss of the season in three games they have played so far and it was Express FC’s first win of the campaign in their second game.

Express FC are still unbeaten and are yet to concede any goal, in the opening game they played to a goalless draw with Mbarara City at home and today they have narrowly defeated Busoga United.
In their next games, Busoga United will welcome Mbarara City at Njeru while Express will host Bright Stars at Wankulukuku.
