Stanbic Uganda Cup R16: KCCA Not to Take Boys From Milk Land Lightly, Byekwaso

KCCA wary of stubborn Mbarara City.

KCCA will be fully cognizant of the challenge that lies ahead as they welcome FUFA Big League side Mbarara City in the round of 16 of the Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup.

KCCA head coach Byekwaso Morley has asserted his team is keen on making progress to the last eight, well aware of what his opponents may have in store at the MTN Omondi Stadium, on Friday.

“We are facing a stubborn side, a team that has disturbed us during previous seasons.”

“They know how to answer our questions, very resilient and we cannot underestimate them because this competition is very hard,” Byekwaso said.

“We have prepared well, had buildup matches, rested well and I believe we’re in a good position to face our opponents.”

Mbarara City in previous seasons, on two occasions have ever eliminated KCCA out o this Championship though the two time came while at Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara.

To make this stage, KCCA comfortably beat Kataka FC 3-0, while Mbarara edged Admin FC 1-0 at Kakyeka Stadium in the Round of 32 of this season’s Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup.

KCCA are at 10 titles of Stanbic Uganda Cup and they are aiming at taking double this season since they’re also on top of the table of Uganda Premier league.
