UEFA President Funds Aliguma Foundation to Buy 15 Acres

On 14th March, the president of Union of European Football Association (UEFA) Aleksander Ceferin landed in Uganda for the first time ever and the entire Africa at large.
The Aliguma Foundation is part of Non-government Organisation in Africa selected in 2022 and the visit of UEFA president in Uganda will be a land Mark for years and years due to the fact that he has funded the buying of 15 acres of land for Aliguma Foundation in Masindi district which makes it clear that the foundation will develop the young stars in promoting talented boys.
The main aims and objectives of the visit of the UEFA president was to boost Aliguma Foundation and the progress of Acholi quarters project and different works in promoting good lives in slum communities most likely in sports.
In this case jersey, balls, Bibs, Books are being given out as a sign of togetherness in promoting football in Uganda.
The event which was in Banda was officiated by the state minister for Sports Hon. Peter Ogwang accompanied by NCS board chair. Ambrose Tashobya, Dr. Benerd Ogwel, NCS general secretary.

Minister said that ” its a pleasure to host such a high profile guest in Uganda and it’s my honour to receive and welcome Mr. Aleksander Ceferin UEFA president and am very sure that our Young stars will not remain the same”.
The UEFA foundation for children grant as part of 65 humanitarian projects around the world net worth over 4.9 millions Euros this will released out purposely for revamping and empowerment the project after being hited by COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. The foundation stepped up its works by redeveloping the multi-purpose Acholi quarters Play ground, improving the structure and the status of the annual Banda slum soccer Tournament and also buying 15 acres of land in kinuuma Village in Masindi district and construction should be started as earlier as possible for Aliguma Foundation sports
