Pilsner Monthly Awards: Kasasiro Boys ‘Clean’ October Gongs’ Table
The Kampala Capital City Authority football club aka Kasasiro Boys duo in tactician Morley Byekwaso and forward, Davis Kasirye voted the best of October leaving the Gongs’ table at Kati Kati Restaurant Lugogo empty for anyone else.
Byekwaso who fully kicked off his stint at Lugogo based side Club as head coach had been in close contest against the SC Vipers gaffer, Roberto Oliveira for the best coach of Pilsner Lager Monthly Awards.
Byekwaso had an exciting performance in the month of October, guiding his side to four straight wins in the Uganda Premier League new season,l.
The 13-time league champions, kicked off the journey with a 3-0 win against Wakiso Giants before registering victories against new commers, Gadaffi FC 2-1, Busoga United 1-0 and a 2-0 win against Tooro United.
His counterpart, Roberto Oliveira, his side had three games in the month of October but managed to win two and drawing once.
Three players have been in contest for the best player for October, Kasirye who scored three goals saw him beating his teammate and a custodian, Benjamin Ochan and Vipers Ceaser Loki Manzoki.
He was on target once in a 3-0 win over Wakiso Giants, a 2-1 ediging of Gaddafi and in a 2-0 victory against Tooro United helping his side gather 12 points from the four games played in October.
Kasirye and his Coach, Morley Byekwaso became the first duo to win accolades this season.
Each of them walked away with a prize money of 1M, courtesy of Pilsner Lager.
