Netball Elections 2021: Bukedde TV Iron Lady Vies For Publicity Secretary Post

Kampala: At the Omega of last week, the Uganda Netball Federation, Electoral Committee headed by Madam Annet Nakamya released a road map for the June Polls.

A number of individuals so far came out to express their interests to take up different positions on the Federation’s top management.

From reliable sources, this website learnt that a netball passionate sports journalist, from Bukedde TV and Paper, Nakate Olivier is to contest for the position of Publicity Secretary on the UNF Executive.

If the current position occupant does not Vie for another post, it means that the position so far has two contestants, that is Nakate Olivier and Wilberforce Mutete who has served the Federation for at least a decade.

It’s not yet confirmed, the former Defunct WBS TV reporter which district or club she will represent.

She is not the only one who has come out to show her interest but a number other big names vying to take Netball to another level.

So far the position of presidency has three people who have publicly confessed that they need that seat, that is Hon. Babirye Sarah Kityo, Madam Christine Nampijja and the current general Secretary, Annette Kisomose.

But rumors say that even She Cranes Manager, Joslyn Uchanda, Current Vice president administration are also want the same position.

Denis Mpoza vie for general Secretary technical while the current assistant General Secretary, Alice Alweny wants to elevate to a full General Secretary of the Federation.

Beginning 4th April 2021 the serious candidates shall start picking nomination forms at a cost of 500000/- for president and 200000/- for any other position.

The election process will climax on 05, June 2021 at Hockey ground Lugogo where the polls for Executive Committee will take place.
