Former URA FC forward Joseph Ssemujju has completed his move to Zambian side Kansanshi Dynamos FC, signing a two-year contract with the MTN Super League outfit.

The transfer marks a new chapter in the career of the talented Ugandan attacker, who has previously featured for several clubs in Uganda and Tanzania.

Ssemujju’s move was facilitated by Jodana Sports Management, with agency boss Daniel Ntale representing the agency as the player completed the switch from URA FC to the Zambian club.

The forward has established himself as an attacking player capable of operating across the frontline. During his time at URA FC, he was deployed on either flank and in attacking midfield. He initially joined the Tax Collectors in February 2023 from Tanzanian side Mbeya City FC on a two-year contract.

Ssemujju also enjoyed notable moments in the Uganda Premier League, including a hat-trick for URA FC, underlining his goal-scoring ability. He was part of the URA squad during the 2025/26 season and remained among the club’s registered players.

His career has also taken him through SC Villa, BUL FC and Mbeya City FC, giving him experience in both Ugandan and Tanzanian football. He previously joined BUL after his spell at SC Villa before moving to Mbeya City in Tanzania.

Ssemujju now joins Kansanshi Dynamos, a club based in Solwezi, North-Western Province, and known by the nickname The Fearless Mabanga Boys.

Kansanshi Dynamos have experienced a recent rise-and-fall journey between Zambia’s top two divisions. The club was relegated from the Super League at the end of the 2023/24 season but immediately bounced back by finishing among the promotion places in the 2024/25 National Division One campaign. Kansanshi were subsequently back in the top flight for the 2025/26 season.

Ssemujju’s arrival is expected to add attacking depth and experience to a Kansanshi Dynamos side looking to establish itself in Zambia’s top flight.
