Electoral commission Confirms Election Day For President

Finally the Uganda Electoral Commission has announced the date when the president of Uganda for 2021-2026 will be elected.

In the press briefing held today, 04th October 2020, at their head offices in Kampala, the commission announced 14th January 2021 as the Ugandans shall decide their fate for the next five years.

It’s the same date when the members of Parliament shall be elected.

Eleven candidates were nominated on the start of this week to contest for the to seat in the country.

Incumbent Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni (NRM), Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert, (National Unity Platform), Gen Henry Tumukunde (independent), Nancy Kalembe (Independent), John Katumba (Independent), Norbert Mao(DP), Joseph Kabureta (Independent), Patrick Oboi Amuriat (FDC), among others are the people to contest in the forthcoming general Elections.
