Creativity: Africa Queen Announces the winner of BIC Art Master Competition

African Queen No.1 Distributors Limited from their home at Namanve Industrial Area on Friday, announced the winner of the 2021 Art Master Africa Competitions.
For starters, the BIC Art Master Africa competition was intiated in 2017 in South Africa and it’s an annual competition that invites all artists to creatively develop the art pieces using the iconic Bic Ball Pen.
This is the fourth edition and it aimed to promoting talent across Africa and the Middle East countries while showcasing their abilities in creative art.
Ugandan Artist Gayi Eric won the accolade of the 2021 Bic Art Master of Africa competition with a prize money of $2000 which totaling to seven millions Ugandan shillings (7000000).
His portrait title was “Circle of life” and was created by using only 210 hours to complete course work and the second place was taken over by Kamgaing from Cameroon who developed the art piece titled “ln my Room” and he won $1000 and in third place was Odaro Franklin from Nigeria with his art piece “Entranced” and also received $500. The other winners from the region have also received cash prizes as well as Bic hampers.

The creative art work was chosen from 6350 entries submitted by more than 3700 Artists from 52 countries across Middle East and Africa . The artists were requested to submit their creative art work through the campaign’s dedicated microsite “BICArt Master.Com” and the work was shortlisted by a panel of judges including Experts from BIC, Renowned artists from the region, the winners from previous Art Master Africa competitions and Art Experts from Europe.
The senior vice president and General manager PETER Van den Broeck said that “ we are proud of the impact that the art Master Africa competition has had on talent in the region.the inception of the art Master Africa competition has allowed us to support thousands of Talents across the region. With the competition expanding into the middle East this year, we are confident that we will continue to motivate and shine a bright light on Talent across the region creating a future generation of creative and inspiring individuals“.
