‘Please Cool Your Mouth For Some Days’, FA Suspends Wasswa Bbosa For Using Improper Words

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA), suspended Express FC tactician, Wasswa Bbosa for three match days.

[10/22, 14:01] Omuzibu Dejourn: The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has suspended Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa for three matches.

According to FA, the outspoken tactician made unsporting comments in media after his side (Express) losing 2-0 at home against newbies Arua Hill FC which is against the FUFA code of ethics.

For starters, the game was held on Friday, October 15 at Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku.

The charges indicates Bbosa acured the club CEO Isaac Mwesigwa that he had paid the referees to ensure that they (Express) lose the game.

According to FUFA, Wasswa Bbosa’s comments were in contravention of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary code and the FUFA Competition Rule (CF Article 31), putting the game in disrepute.

On top of three games suspension, FUFA fined Bbosa with 2M shillings which is to be paid within 15 days.

“Wasswa Bbosa, the Head coach of Express FC has been suspended for three Competition matches and fined UGX2M for his unsporting comments made in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League match between Express FC and Arua Hill SC. FUFA announced.” FUFA statement reads.

“The fine of UGX2M must be paid within 15 days from receipt of the decision released today. He is required to produce proof of payment of the same to the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee by 5th November 2021.” it added.

The games Wasswa Bbosa is to miss include; UPDF and BUL away games, and one against Vipers.

This is not the first time Bbosa has landed in trouble having been previously suspended for four games after confronting match officials during his reign at SC Villa in the 2017/18 season.
