Bika By’Abaganda Netball: Draws Held at Bulange Throw off Date Revealed

The draws for the Bika By’Abaganda Netball tournament were held on Friday afternoon at Bulange Mengo.

In the 49th edition, 30 clans confirmed their participation and pitted in six groups of five teams.

The draws saw defending champions,Ngeye pitted in group A alongside Ngo, Ngaali, Nvuma and Kkobe.

With the first communication, the Netball tournament was to throw off on Saturday 10th June but after the Friday meeting with clan managers and officials, the dates were pushed to 17th June.

Like it was last year, the games will be played in a rally format at St Lawrence University Kampala Campus.

According to head of technical, Netball in BIFONEC, Mrs. Rosette Namuli Kaala Mutyaba, this time round they will try to collect data which will help them to have a genuine top scorer and the arrangement starts from preliminary round.

In the same meeting, the technical committee of Netball revealed the last year’s report to mangers and they also held a mini workshop to go through the game management rule to avoid chaos at the playing ground.

According to committee, the top two teams from each group will automatically qualify to round of sixteen and then the four best losers will join the 12 to make 16 teams.
