Cycling: Aziz Ssempijja Targets World Championship Slot in Scotland

Cyclist Aziz Ssempijja set off to South Africa for mountain championship slated for 2nd to 4th June 2023.

The Uganda’s number one went alone as one man army to lift the flag high as well as fighting for a slot in the fourth coming World championship to be held in August this year in Scotland.

“I have been training for a while and I hope I am fit enough to lift the Uganda flag, my target is to be in the first positions that will help me qualify to world championship to be held in Scotland in August this year.” Says Aziz Ssempijja.

However much he wants to make it to World Championship, Aziz is afraid of his competitors who have better bikes compared to his.

“The biggest challenge I have is with the bike, mine is of low quality compared to those of my competitors but I will try my best.” He commented.
