betPawa Futsal Super League: Edgars a ‘night Dream’ to Kabowa as Kisenyi return to Winning Ways

After putting up an incredible display last week against, third placed Kisenyi FC, Kabowa Dream Team dreamt badly when it came to Edgars Youth Programme FC. 

The Youthful side collected the locker room bonus for the fifth time this season after beating Kabowa Dream Team 3-1 in the opening fixture held on Friday night at Old Kampala Futsal Arena, thanks to Amiri Waiswa hat-trick.  

The win never moved them a place from the 10th position but the closed the gap between them and the 09th placed Kabowa to three points.

Following a disappointing 4-4 draw with Kabowa Dream Team last week, Kisenyi managed to secure a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Kampala Junior Team FC. 

In a low scoring encounter, Julius Kassaga and Shafic Darir netted for Kisenyi to close the gap between them and second placed Futbol Club Luzira to one point.

Despite an early goal from Kassaga, Kisenyi faced challenges in extending their lead until Darir, coming off the bench, scored the winning goal in the last minute of the game. Jordan Ajuna scored a consolation for KJT with the last kick of the game.

Kisenyi’s win earned them 35 points in 16 games this season, while KJT remained in eighth place with 19 points.

Additionally, fourth-placed Lubaga Grameen secured a 3-0 walkover win against Nansana ASKA, who failed to show up for the match.

The betPawa Futsal Super League will resume with matchday 17 action on Thursday, April 4th and Friday, April 5th, 2024.
