Beach Soccer AFCON 2021: We are Good Enough to Face Senegal- Salim

As Uganda Sand Cranes set to make Africa Beach soccer Cup of Nations debut, the head coach is positive despite facing hosts and record champions Senegal in their group A opening fixture on Sunday.
Uganda qualified by a walkover when Ghana failed to turnup in Uganda for last qualifying fixture.
Salim Jamal Muwonge the head coach of Sand Cranes is confident of his side can make a different.
As he planing for a clash with 5 time Africa champions, the tactician has said his team is ready to compete at Senegal’s heights.
“We have gone through good training sessions we have got a chance to train at Saly Beach Soccer Stadium, every player is good and ready for the challenge as we are in waiting to face the Senegalese, I am sure the boys are ready for that” Said Salim Jamal after the team’s last Training at the hosting venue.
Uganda was to start the campaign on 24th May against Tanzania but due to Dr Congo’s withdrawal from the tournament, their fixture was adjusted to 23rd May and starting with the hosts.
The captain of Sand Cranes Meddie Kibirige has assured that they are to come out with responsible results.
“The weather is fair to us, we thank the Lord, as players, we are in good shape and we will go against Senegal for results”
Uganda needs at least a win to secure a qualification slot to knockout stage.
