Women Football: Kawempe Muslim Reveals Ins and Outs as League Kickoff Remain in Balance

The second transfer window of 2020/21 season came to an end on Sunday, 31, January, 2021.

Clubs from men’s football to women’s, made a number changes in their squads as they wait for the return of the game.

Kawempe Muslim Women football Club, the four time FUFA Women Elite league, revealed their Ins, Outs and the promotions made, as they get prepared for the forthcoming season, though none knows when it will be commenced.

According to club CEO, Lubulwa Ahmed, Kawempe Muslim promoted three players from their junior team, that is Kampi Halima, Nasaazi Hellen and Amuleni Aziiza.

Isra Soccer Academy wfc after getting promoted to FUFA Women Super League, Kawempe recalled it’s player Hadijah Nandago (Midfielder) from loan though they replaced her with Namakula Hadijjah and Namutebi Kruthuum also on loan, but coming from Kawempe Muslim Junior.

With good relationship, Isra managed to extend the loan spell of five players from Kawempe that is;  Kyomuhendo Sumayiyah, Nakato Rebecca, Nakageye Kezia, Nalubega Monica, Nassali Olivia all from Kawempe Muslim Junior Team.

The Ayubu Khalifa coached side solid Namata Anita back to Uganda Marty’s High School WFC on undisclosed fee and the Club’s left back, Grace Aluka transferred to Olila High School WFC.

Though, they did not indicate it, Kawempe Muslim is likely not be with their longest serving captain and defender, Mariam Nakabugo who hinted on quitting football after her high school education.

Women football last be active in the country in March 2020, before the president locked down the country due to COVID-19 pandemic emergency in the country.

Now it remains in balance when women football leagues will return in action.
