Netball Elections: Annet Kisomose Is Vying to Take Over from Anek
The silence is broken, finally the Uganda Netball Federation current general secretary, Annet Kisomose revealed her interest to take over the top office for the next four years.
It started as rumors early last year that the St Mary’s Secondary School Kitende teacher and Netball patron, Kisomose is coming in to take over from her boss, Susan Anek who’s tenure is ending this year.
However, the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in the country, distorted the hardworking lady’s move to contest in the next elections, but yesterday, information hit on social media indicating that the senior talent scout revealed her interest to stand for federation presidency.
“She’s coming out bravely for UNF next president with energetic other young minded people behind her. the manifesto loading soon.” a caption on Kisomose’s photo read yesterday in one of Netball whatsApp group.
After receiving the news, this website reached out to Kisomose and she admitted that she’s going to stand.
“It’s true I am going to stand.” Annet Kisomose replied the phone call before adding. “I am contesting for that position, and details of when is the elections, we going to have a meeting on Saturday next week“

But until now none knows when the elections shall be held because even the electoral roadmap is not yet released.
According to inside sources, the federation president doesn’t what to release the roadmap and she doesn’t need any one on federation executive to mention about the elections.
“Madam Anek is ruling our sport as her home, she shows that nothing can go on without her, she halted all the executive members from speaking about elections until she does so.” Inside sources told this website.
“Remember this AGM which will be held on 26th this month, it was supposed to be an elective Assembly but now it can be and she is not giving a serious reason at to why it won’t be. But for us we are focused, what come may, we shall bring back our game.” The source added.
Annet Kisomose told this website that on Saturday next week, they will have a meeting that will discuss on issues of AGM and elections.
