Volleyball Leagues Playoffs: Nemo Stars Ready for Campus Boys, Nkumba as Stubborn Newbies, OBB Face Sport-S
The regular season of the three league of Volleyball in Uganda climaxed before the end of last month and they are set for the epic playoffs where the champions shall be identified.
Prior to an anticipated playoffs that are spike off tomorrow on Saturday 02nd April 2022 at Old Kampala Arena, on Friday morning, the Uganda Volleyball Federation held a joint press conference with the teams on playoffs at the same venue to remind the Ugandans about the games and the clubs officials to confirm to fans how ready they are to pull out all their skills to lift the titles.
For starters, the top four of every end of the regular season engage in playoff to identify the season champion and the Men’s Serie A that had ten teams, has produced the best four on playoffs and that are; Nemo Stars Volleyball Club, newbies, OBB VC, Sport-S and Nkumba University VC.
Nemo Stars who topped the table in regular season with 41 points will host fourth placed Nkumba University VC the side that collected only 25 points in eighteen played games. The fixture is on tomorrow, Saturday 4PM at Old Kampala Arena.
“This stage is not new to us, it’s like a norm we have been here and we are going to do our best to see that we win and if we lose, again we shall go back on drawing board because the play-offs are a different ball game. Any mistake brings you down. We need to minimize the mistakes.” Said the defending champions NemoStars tactician Okapis Andrew before the cameras at Old Kampala Arena.
“We have surprised many teams. Our first target was to make it to the play-offs. The second is to face whoever comes our way. We are determined to reach the finals and if possible to win them, we are taking every opportunity very serious.” Yakan Lawrence Guma, OBB VC tactician spoke.
The newbies OBB VC shall be taking on Sport-S NC at 2PM on 3rd April 2022 at Old Kampala Arena and Sport-S’ Patricia Musubika asserted that experience will be a key in their encounter.
“Come Sunday, we are set to face OBB. We are an experienced team and ready to face them” Musubika stated
The UVF Official, Flavia Umuhoza revealed that everything is set and ready for tomorrow events.
“We are set to have the play-offs as all teams have upped their preparations. We expect stiff competition since the two finalists will represent the country at the Africa Club championship in Tunisia” Flavia Umuhoza, a member on the UVF competitions committee.

3rd April 2022: OBB Vs Sport-S (2 PM)
Serie A (Women) – Game 1:
2nd April 2022: Ndejje University Vs KCCA (2:00 PM)
3rd April 2022: Sport-S Vs VVC (12 PM)
Men Serie B – Game 1:
2nd April 2022: Sky Vs LIRA (12 PM)
3rd April 2022: Tigers Vs VVC (10 AM)
Women Serie B – Game 1:
2nd April 2022: OBB Vs MUST (10:00 AM)
3rd April 2022: KAVC –A Vs NemoStars (9 AM).
