USSSA NPP Qualifiers Kampala Region: Keep Calm boys, Martyrs Silence St Andrews to Book a Meeting with Kawempe on Final

The USSSA Kampala Region qualifiers reaching final bend on Saturday at Kibuli SS where Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga will face off on form Kawempe Muslim SS in boys football.
The semifinals were held yesterday at Old Kampala SS playground.
It was a sour afternoon for St Andrews Kaggwa Gombe High School Kawaala Campus at Old Kampala play ground after being punished by Uganda Martyrs High School in the first ten minutes of the first semifinal reminding them that they are newbies in the system.
Lomokol James header, that came ten minutes into first half was enough for Martyrs from Lubaga to beat resilient Gombe High, the side that experiencing School’s football for the first time.
Lomokol James went in air past Gombe’s defenders for him to have a free header that put Martyrs in the lead.
The following minutes until the final whistle, Martyrs were seen on their back foot trying to defend their only goal and at the end it yielded despite the endless attacks launched by Travis Mutyaba’s Gombe.
In second half, Gombe’s tactician made crucial changes to keep pressure at Martyrs for an equalizer and Bashir replaced Sudais who tried to put Uganda Martyrs on pressure with Mutyaba Travis but again they [Martyrs] could not allow any ball to cross their goal line.
But both teams qualified for the 2022 USSSA National Post Primary games to be held in Arua next month.
On final, Uganda Martyrs will be facing on form Kawempe Muslim Secondary School who comfortably beat Kibuli SS 3-1.
The final us slated to take place on Saturday at Kibuli SS.
