Villa Elections: Who is Dennis Mbidde?

Villa Elections are less thank three days to be held at Villa Park and Virtual and two strong men are in contest.

The legislator, Hon. Medard Lubega Sseggona and sports enthusiast and strounch Sports Club Villa supporter, Dennis Mbidde Ssebugwawo are the two figures in contest.

But who is Dennis Mbidde?

I am a movement cadre, a Muganda Catholic, corporate, middle-class, sports enthusiast with the ancestral place being Rubaga South with connections high up in the church, Born and breed in Kampala Central in Particular Makerere Kivulu with a good understanding of the common man.

Am a Mukodomi Wembuga (In-law to the Kabaka – The Ssebuggwawo Family). 

Any experience in any Field?

I have worked in Corporate Companies at the top level, with a background in media as personality/consultant and employee, am good at mobilization, strategy and handle very challenging situations. 

Where is Your Speciality?

I have a successful career span of 20 years with extensive experience and specialization in the areas of Managing Institutions, change management, Sales, marketing, customer care, Public relations and Strategy development.

In other areas I have expertise in Human Resource management, Project management, investment planning management, Finance management majoring in Valuation and analysis of Financial Models, Products plus markets, economic evaluation and analysis. 

15 years of my career are at top Management.

Have you ever been at any board or management position? 

I have experience in board, Stakeholder and Shareholder management: I have been part of National Council of Sports Board(NCS), Federation of Uganda  Football Association board (FUFA) and am currently the Chairman Board of Directors the Coporate league a sports body that brings together 70 Corporate companies doing sports. 

I am an innovator, businessman and industrist.

The following are my industries of expertise: Media, Pay TV, Advertising (including management of marketing agencies and promotional firms),Construction and Real Estate, Insurance, Events management and Promotions including Marketing and mobilization activities, Sports Tourism, Telecommunications: Mainly GSM/Mobile companies of which am a specialist in telecom marketing in particular selling and distribution models in the FMCG industry.

I possess a strong track record in sales and negotiation, Exceptional relationship skills with the ability to discover the true requirements and underlying feature requests, recommend alternative approaches and lead efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions. 

Am a Proven leader with experience of leading a sector strategy and engaging key industry strategic partners directly. 

I have been in charge of starting, procuring, and liaising with marketing Firms / Agencies.

This has enabled me coordinate Company activities/ events to ensure strict adherence to corporate and product brand guidelines. I also provided leadership/direction in marketing and promotion of the company products and services which delivered brand promise, image building plans that enhanced and created strong corporate image thus strong brands. 

I hold a Degree in Bachelor of Commerce-Accounts and Postgraduate Diplomas in Marketing and Sales Management, Investment Planning Management, Business Management and Computer Business Application.  

I hold professional Membership (CIMA) from the Central Institute of Management Ambala City, India.
