Video: Its Our Time To Prove, we Have been Good Students of his teachings- Kyagulanyi On Muzaata
Sheikh Muzaata has been a teacher, not for only Moslems but to all Ugandans, so my fellow youths who are slightly older and younger than me, it's now our time to prove that we have been good students of his teachings
Though it was in anticipation that National Unity Platform principal, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert won’t be given a chance to speak at the vigil or the official mourning of the death of Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata, he gotten a chance to address the mourners at Kibuli mosque.
In the three minutes he was given to give a simple speech, Kyagulanyi thanked Muzaata for being a good teacher and a person who doesn’t fear to speak the truth even before the oppressors.
The presidential hopeful said that Muzaata have been giving him a sense of security and confidence while addressing people.Kyagulanyi full speech
“Sheikh Muzaata has been giving me a sense of security, he has been a fearless man, we are inspired by Muzaata, a man who has been speaking the truth of his heart.” Kyagulanyi asserting his journey with Muzaata.
Kyagulanyi also hinted on the many questions surrounding the unclear cause of Muzaata’s death and blamed government of not producing reports of people who have been dying and being killed.
“I know many though still quite, have many questions on the death of our friend. I know even the family is also anxious but maybe they received a call from the big man, not to create uncertainties into Ugandans.
Am don’t speaking like a person who is inciting public but as a senior citizen, the report of his death would be out by now, but like other many people who have been murdered and died, their reports are no where to be seen.”
Kyagulanyi also asked the mourners and Ugandans especially those slight older and younger than him to prove that they have been good students of Muzaata’s teachings.
“Sheikh Muzaata has been a teacher, not for only Moslems but to all Ugandans, so my fellow youths who are slightly older and younger than me, it’s now our time to prove that we have been good students of his teachings.” Kyagulanyi at Kibuli.
“It’s our responsibility to prove that we have been learning from his teachings, it’s our responsibility to fight for human rights, like he has been doing. Many Moslems have been faced by injustice, many are rotting from prisons, of course I will not say that I will give all of them justice but it’s one of the things am going to handle immediately we get power.”
The outspoken Sheikh died at the age of 58 years but the official cause of his death.
The burial of Sheikh Muzaata is today at Kigoogwa village in Matugga.
