USSSA: Kayunga District Post Primary Qualifiers Enter Inter-Zone Stage

Kayunga-Bbaale Inter-zone
Mt Carmel High School, Kayunga Light College SS, Kitimbwa Bright Future SS, and Ndeeba Secondary School
Busaana-Kayunga Inter-Zone
Namagabi Secondary School, Busaana Secondary School, Uganda Martyrs Kayunga and Bugerere High School
Twelve (12) Schools in Kayunga District are set to battle for slots as 2022 Post Primaries qualifications enter Inter-zone stage in three different playgrounds.
After a break of one week
Qualifications
St Mathias Kalemba SS and Nazigo Town SS emerged winners of the Nazigo zone which had Schools like Yale High School, Ssuka Islamic SS and Outspan Secondary School in the games which were hosted at St Kalemba Playground.
Hosts, St Mathias Kalemba SS topped the group with Eight (8) points from four games played followed by Nazigo Town SS with Seven (7) points.
In Kangulumira Zone, hosts in St Pontiano Ngondwe Secondary School defied odds topping the group with Four (4) points from two games followed by Kisega High School on the same number of points in a group which had Three teams.
In Kayunga Zone A, Kayunga Secondary School Sports power house, Namagabi had no mercy as she nailed everyone topping the group with maximum points, Nine (9) followed by Uganda Martyrs Kayunga. Other Schools in the group were Kingstone College SS Kayunga and Kanjuki Secondary School.
In Busaana Zone, Busaana Secondary School and Bugerere High School qualified denying Busaale Secondary School an opportunity to make it to next round.
Kayunga Light College Secondary School and Ndeeba Secondary School made it to Inter-zone from Kayunga Zone B. Other Schools in the zone were Hope full Future Secondary School and Green Vine College Kayunga.
Kitimbwa-Bbaale zone registered the biggest number of Schools with six (6) turning up. Mt Carmel High School and Kitimbwa Bright Future made it to Inter-zone. St Mathias Mulumba SS Kitimbwa, Kitatya SS, Galiraya Seed School and Bbaale SS will have to wait until next year.
In this group (Kitimbwa-Bbaale), Galiraya had qualified but after fielding ineligible players, Mt Carmel filled a case which led to disqualification of the School (Galiraya Seed School).
Inter-Zone Format of Play.
Schools are group into three (3) groups of Four (4) teams each and action on the pitch means each team will play three games and the top two (2) teams from each group will advance to District finals.
At District level, Schools will be battling for two (2) slots because the top two teams will represent the District at Region which also have Schools from Buikwe, Buvuma and Mukono District.
In 2019 Kayunga District representatives, Namagabi Secondary School and Green Valley Ssuka made it to Nationals from Greater Mukono Zone.
Ahead of a congested fixtures, kick off time attached and shared with Schools in time such that games are played in time.
As par the fixtures, games are scheduled to kick off at 9:00AM and the last game kick off time is 4:30PM.
