USSSA Games 2024: St Julian Breaks Greater Mukono’s 25 Years Jinx of Not Reaching the Final

St Julian High School keep on making history in the ongoing Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association boys football championship in Masaka City.
The championship debutants, unlocked the deadlocks of Greater Mukono Region of 25 years of not reaching final, the Felix Ssekabuuza charges, St Julian High School propelled to final of the 2024 edition after eliminating fellow debutants, Bukedea Comprehensive via spot kicks, 4-2. The normal time ended in a goalless draw.
The immediate last best performer for Greater Mukono Region was Mukono Kings who stopped at quarterfinal in 2023.
Any Mukono region school to reach on Schools final was Naggalama who were beaten by Old Kampala SS and the championship was in Masindi in 1999.
Julian will play against Amus College on final on Sunday.
Amus College eliminated defending champions, St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende through spot kicks, 10-09 following a goalless draw in normal time.
