Beach Soccer action returns to the shores of Lake Victoria this month as the Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) prepares to stage the sixth edition of the Uganda Beach Soccer Super 4 Championship.
The championship draws were held on Monday, September 14, at FUFA Kadiba Stadium, setting up exciting semi-final clashes between the top four teams from the 2025/26 season.
League champions Kampala City Beach Soccer Club will face Mutoola Beach Soccer Club, while St. Lawrence University will take on MUBS in an all-university battle.
The Super 4 will be held on September 20 at Bunjako Beach in Buwama, Mawokota County, with three matches scheduled — two semi-finals and the final.
UBSA Chairperson and FUFA Executive Committee member Deo Mutabazi, who graced the draws, called upon Ugandans to turn up in large numbers and support the competition.

“I also call upon all Ugandans to come out in big numbers and witness the Uganda Beach Soccer Super Four. Let us fill the venue, celebrate our players and teams, and give Beach Soccer the support it deserves,” Mutabazi said.
The championship will also serve as the curtain-raiser for the 2025/26 Uganda Beach Soccer season and provide national team players with an important competitive platform ahead of Uganda’s AFCON Beach Soccer qualifiers against Burundi in mid-October.
The new National Beach Soccer League season is scheduled to kick off on October 27.
Bunjako Beach Director Joseph Collins Ssemmanda welcomed the return of the competition to the venue, describing Bunjako as a safe destination for athletes and a facility that accommodates different sporting activities.

“We have worked with UBSA before, and we are happy to host you again. Bunjako is a safe sporting destination for athletes, and we host different sports,” Ssemmanda said.
The tournament has also attracted support from a number of partners, including Yards256, Tumba Juice, Embroidery Plus, Avroom Ventures, Nze KB Marketing Agency, Bunjako Beach, Maama Maria Junior School–Nakirebe, LEGOBRIGHT Sports Agency, Bbosa Maria Garments, and FUFA TV & Radio.
Embroidery Plus Chief Executive Officer Irene Nankabirwa said the company was committed to supporting the growth of the sport.
“We are here to work with the Uganda Beach Soccer Association and contribute to the promotion, growth and development of beach soccer in Uganda,” Nankabirwa said.
The partners’ support will help provide gold, silver and bronze medals, the championship trophy, team uniforms, player welfare and other essential event logistics.

The Super 4 will also feature entertainment, with popular vocalist Flash Love, known for the hit song “Balilako,” expected to perform at Bunjako Beach.
Entrance to the championship has been set at UGX 5,000 per person, with organisers expecting a strong turn-up from beach soccer fans.
Also in attendance at the draws were UBSA Vice Chairperson Peter Seguya and Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) representative Regina Mukatwaliri.
