Uganda Decides2021: Kizza Besigye Joins ‘the struggle’, Free Bobi Wine

The former Forum for Democratic Change president and four time presidential aspirant Dr. Kizza Besigye joined Ugandans in ‘struggle’ to demand for unconditional release of Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert.

The National Unity Platform flag bearer, and the party principal, Kyagulanyi was brutally arrested by Police in Luuka yesterday where he was speaking to his supporters at district playground and was later detained at Nalufenya Police station in Jinja where he is still until now.

This sparked of protests from different parts of the nation and over 10 people lost their lives in scuffle and over 100 sustained injuries.

Basing on those ugly scenes transpired in the nation yesterday, a senior citizen and big figure in Opposition, Dr. Kizza Besigye via his twitter handle, asked Police to Free Kyangulanyi and Ugandans to remain firm and take actions to end captivity.

A number Political figures including the Katikkiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga condemned the excessive force Police use against its own citizens in guise of enforcing COVID-19 guidelines.
