Today We have Meal Card Religious Leaders, Gashumba Blasts Current Church
On 16th February, 1977 history has it that the by then Archbishop of Uganda, Janani Luwum was murdered by Idi Amin Dada’s regime over fighting injustices in the country manifested.
Since he was a man of his word, Luwum wrote a letter of protest to Iddi Amin who by then the President of Uganda over the rampant disappearance of Ugandans, kidnaps and injustices against humanity but according to history books, Janani the following days never survived and he was murdered.
After that regime, Uganda started celebrating him on the day he died as a hero who stood strong against injustice.
Today, his remembrance day came amidst the same acts that led to his death and Ugandans think that religious leaders didn’t do much to advocate for justice and fighting for freedom and Peace in the country.
Public figure and the founder of Sisimuka Uganda, Frank M Gashumba via his facebook page blasted current religious leaders for keeping quite when the nation is backsliding.
Furious Gashumba labeled religious leaders as Meal card religious practitioners who are only securing their pockets not Ugandans’ future.
Today, we have meal card religious practitioners whose main preoccupation is ‘securing their pockets’. They see nothing wrong with the current state of affairs. State inspired kidnappings and extrajudicial killings, brutalising citizens, curtailed freedoms,…aren’t anything worth their condemnation and fighting against.” Furious Gashumba Blasting religious leaders.
Gashumba is saying that religious leaders are hypocrites who are preaching contrary to what exactly the do.
The same folk are out there today praising Archbishop Luwum for standing against injustice and calling upon their followers to emulate his life. How hypocritical!
Religious leaders of today have successfully betrayed Jesus. Back in days, religious leaders represented Jesus, now every time I see a purported religious leader I see a thug in him.You devils belong to the hottest seat in hell.I hope devils have started preparing fire 🔥 for you in hell.In the history of Uganda there has not been a time when religious leaders betrayed Jesus like now.

“In 1977, Archbishop Luwum delivered a note of protest to President Amin against arbitrary killings and unexplained disappearances.
Shortly afterwards, the Archbishop was accused of treason and murdered.
Archbishop Luwum stood for truth and justice, no matter the price.
He spoke truth to power, no matter the consequences. He never wavered, even in the most difficult times. He never quit. Never walked away.
Never compromised his conscience.
