The Fortebet Five Real Stars of July Awarded, Ludo with Full Representation

It’s a norm since 2018 for the Real Stars Sports Agency and her partners in Fortetbet Uganda (main sponsor), Jude Color Solutions and Canaan Investments to award the monthly best performers across different sports disciplines.
And this first Tuesday of the month of August at Route 256 Restaurant and Bar in Lugogo, the winners of month of July from five disciplines were awarded.
The disciplines that got contestants include; Basketball, Football, Motorsports, Athletics and Ludo a rare visitor in this game.
Wanyama Daniel, the reigning champion of the 12th edition of Ludo individual championship tht was held at Hockey Grounds Lugogo last week, got an automatic qualification to lift the Fortebet gong of July in Ludo category.
“This award means that everybody can be a champion and known by the whole country. It is usually referred to as the game of irresponsible people. I urge every Ludo player to get a club and register at the district level.” He told media.
Wanyama added, “I want to thank the entire Uganda Ludo Federation for organizing the individual championship and I am looking forward to become an African champion.”
The Nakawa Division Club star beat his competitors in Nakamya Kuruthum and Geoffrey Galabuzi to take home a prestigious accolade.
Victor Kiplangat who caught most Uganda and the world at large by surprise and won a the first Commonwealth gold medal in marathon, no doubt he had to scoop the Athletics accolade, beating Joshua Cheptegei who also won a gold medal in world Athletics championship held in USA, Jacob Kiplimo, and Oscar Chelimo.
In football, much attention was given to Buganda Masaza Cup and Bika football tournament, anyway they have been the only serious competitions in the country. Amusi of Ssingo Ssaza walked away with the gong beating Acram Muzannyi of Busiro and Mustapha Kiraga from Kkobe.
The team of Umar Dauda & Hamza Lwanga won the accolade for Rally category out competing Mike Mukulu/Edward Kiyingi and Jonas Kansiime/Ivan Tushabe teams.
Namuwongo Blazers’ star, Amis Said took that of Basketball leaving Innocent Ochera of Powers and Brenda Ekone of JKL Lady Dolphins empty handed.
Real Stars Sports Agency CEO Isaac Mukasa said, “We want to create competition amongst all the sports disciplines because when they know that at the end of the month there are people monitoring and are going to award me, it brings a lot of competition.
“So at the end of the day, the national teams will be so strong because they have the backbone.”
