Teams Confirm Readiness for CRVA Volleyball Extravaganza Tournamen
Kampala, Uganda — Selected teams from the Central Region Volleyball Association (CRVA) have confirmed their readiness for the much-anticipated CRVA Volleyball Extravaganza Tournament 2025, a major pre-season event set for this Saturday.
The official launch of the tournament took place on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Safari Homes, Mawanda Road. During the press conference, team captains, coaches, and managers expressed confidence in their preparations and pledged to give volleyball enthusiasts a thrilling experience.
“We are ready for the tournament, and being new in this space, we want to showcase what we have for volleyball lovers in this region as we make our maiden league appearance,” said Yonah Kaguma, Head Coach of Speva S Volleyball Club.
“We want to play and win the CRVA Volleyball Extravaganza Tournament because we’ve prepared well for it. Such a milestone will boost our confidence going into the league,” added Bernard Bbaluku, Team Captain of Tai Volleyball Club.
“We are ready to give it our best. The boys are excited and can’t wait to make a winning appearance,” said Nathan Emong, Team Manager of Kampala Royal Volleyball Club.
The one-day tournament will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Kamwokya Treasurer Life Centre, starting at 8:00 a.m. and running until late.
According to Joseph Mary Ssempiira, Head of the Competitions Organizing Commission, the tournament is expected to be both competitive and entertaining.
“This is our very first competitive event, and we are hopeful that it will be a success in many aspects, including showcasing great organization and readiness to manage the Central Region Volleyball League,” Ssempiira noted.
Eight teams are set to compete in the tournament: Tai Volleyball Club, Beeline Volleyball Club, Kampala Royal Volleyball Club, Mak Taitans Volleyball Club, Thunders Volleyball Club, Lakers Entebbe Volleyball Club, Aztecs Volleyball Club, and Speva S Volleyball Club.
The CRVA Volleyball Extravaganza Tournament 2025 will serve as a curtain-raiser for the CRVA Apex Volleyball League, which kicks off in one week.
