Youth Football: FUFA Academies League Returns This Weekend for the Second Round

The inaugural Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Academies League returns this weekend as the second round gets underway, with all 20 participating academies back in action.
The Kampala Region fixtures will be played on Saturday, 1 August 2026 at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, with five exciting matches scheduled from morning until evening.
The day’s action begins at 9:00 AM as KAYDA Soccer Academy take on Maroons FC Soccer Academy. At 10:40 AM, Proline Soccer Academy will battle Teletubbies Kids Soccer Academy in a clash between two teams looking to climb the table.
At 12:20 PM, Pase A Pase Soccer Academy face a stern test against table leaders Sparta 09 Soccer Academy, before Isra Soccer Academy take on Kampala Junior Team at 2:00 PM. The Kampala Region fixtures will conclude at 3:40 PM, with Prosper Soccer Academy hosting Edgars Youth Programme.
The action shifts to the Buganda Region on Sunday, 2 August 2026, at Twinbrook Schools, Kiteezi, where another five fixtures are lined up.
Njeru-based Rays of Grace Academy will take on Buddo SS Soccer Academy in one of the day’s most anticipated encounters. Buddo will be seeking revenge after Rays of Grace came from behind to secure a 2–1 victory in their first-round meeting in Mukono. Kick-off is scheduled for 9:00 AM.
Other Buganda Region fixtures will see Ebenezer Soccer Academy face Msingi Soccer Academy at 10:40 AM, Watoto Soccer Academy take on Kyadondo Soccer Academy at 12:20 PM, El Cambio Academy battle Vipers SC Soccer Academy at 2:20 PM, before hosts Twinbrook Soccer Academy wrap up the day’s action against St. Mary’s Kitende Soccer Academy at 3:40 PM.

League Format
The FUFA Academies League features a unique scoring system in which a team earns four points for a victory achieved by a margin of two or more goals. Standard wins, draws, and losses are rewarded according to the competition regulations.
At the end of the league phase, the top team from each group will qualify for the final, where they will battle to become champions of the inaugural FUFA Academies League.
