Reckless URA FC Settles For a Stalemate with Busoga United

In the early kick off of the match day twelve of the Startimes Uganda Premier League, URA FC came from two goals down to share spoils with Busoga United in a 2-all draw at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

Bruno Junior Bunyaga and Moses Aliro second half goals cancelled out Hussein Ssajabbi and Emmanuel Ajo first half goals as two sides settled for a point each.

In the 3rd minute, striker Bruno Bunyaga found the back of the net to put the visitors in the lead but his goal was cancelled due to offside.

Bunyaga again nearly scored the opener in 12th minute but his powerful header was saved by goalkeeper Lutaaya.

One minute later, goalkeeper Omedwa fumbled with the cross at the far post and Hussein Ssajabbi easily tapped the ball in to the net to put the hosts in the lead.

Nine minutes later, Emmanuel Ajo doubled the lead for Busoga United after a childish blunder by Ssenjobe inside the box.

In the second half, URA FC continued to dominate and in the 67th minute, Bruno Bunyaga pulled one back for the visitors. Goalkeeper Omedwa played a long ball from his half which was headed by Joseph Semujju to find Bunyaga who scored from a volley.

WIth only eight minutes to the final whistle, Moses Aliro netted the equalizer. Aliro played a one-two pass with substitute Godfrey Ssekibengo and Aliro curled the ball to the far right bottom corner from outside the box to make it 2-2.

Before the final whistle Bruno Bunyaga almost won it for the visitors but his header was saved by the goalkeeper Micheal Lutaaya who made six superb saves in the entire game and was also named the man of the match.

This was the first draw between the two sides since 2019 and URA FC remained winless away from home this season.

URA are now 7th on the table with 17 points while Busoga United are 11th with 12 points only 2 points above the relegation zone.

In the next game, Busoga United will visit BUL FC on 28th December, in Jinja Derby while on the following day, URA FC will welcome Mbarara City in Lugazi.
