The former presidential candidate, and National Unity Platform principal, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine asked Next Media Services limited (NBS TV) to apologize to Ugandans for availing them with wrong results during the tallying of presidential votes after 14th January 2021 general elections.

Kyagulanyi is wondering where did NBS get the instant results from Districts all over Uganda and yet the government allowed no other party to tally the presidential results apart from the authorised Electoral commission of Uganda.

In the protest letter dated 27th January 2021, written to the CEO of Next Media services, Kyagulanyi asked them to apologize to the Ugandans who beat all challenges to go and vote for change.

In the same letter Kyagulanyi citing that NBS used to announce false results which were not on the declaration forms.

“..NBS attributed to me false results, more over from unknown source which did not match with the relevant Declaration of result forms…” Letter reads in part.

NBS lied to the nation that the results being relayed were coming from districts some of which had not even finished tallying results by the time of broadcast.” Kyagulanyi continues.

it’s unfortunate that you used your station to conspire with the regime in order to defeat the will of people of Uganda.. I hope you will reflect deeply in your actions and apologize to the people of Uganda.”

Kyagulanyi and his NUP officially rejected results announced by Electoral Commission and the party will petition the high Court on Monday about the Victory what they claim it was stolen from them.

Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert

This is what Kyagulanyi posted on his official facebook today.

At the height of the most fraudulent election in our nation’s history, after the regime locked out credible election observers and cut off the internet; after the regime came out and said that NO ONE except the Electoral Commission had the authority to release election results, NBS was at hand to assist the dictatorship in committing the most vile crime against the people of Uganda.

NBS claimed to have established its own Tally Center (which other media houses were not allowed to do), and by 11:00pm, they were saying that Museveni had 63% from several districts. Most citizens wondered where these results were coming from. To complete their well calibrated plan, they lined up some so-called analysts to justify the results. It was clear the intention was to create the impression that Museveni was leading so as to dampen the spirits of the citizens who had roundly rejected the dictatorship. Shame upon whoever was part of the plot to subvert the will of the people. Ugandans are certainly watching.

This week, I wrote a protest letter to them to express my disappointment, which very many Ugandans have expressed.
