Olympics Tokyo 2020: Catherine Nanziri, Ssemujju Qualify To Represent Uganda
Uganda Boxing Federation and the Sports fraternity landed on marvelous news this afternoon, when the Uganda Olympic Committee released a letter that confirms that two more boxers are to represent Uganda in Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The two boxers, that David Kavuma Ssemujju (69-75kg) and Catherine Nanziri (48-51kg) who have qualified, joined Shadir Musa Bwogi who have directly qualified from Dark Senegal.
“….I write this letter to inform you that two boxing Athletes have qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics through the Boxing Task Force (BTF) Rankings.” A letter signed by Uganda Olympic Committee Secretary General Beatrice Ayikoru read in parts.
“…We duly accepted the Quota places in order for them to participate in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. You are therefore expected to inform the athletes and plan for their training accordingly.” A letter received by Uganda Boxing Federation continue to confirm.
Now Uganda will be represented by three boxers in Olympics 2020.
