Netball World Cup Preparations: Music Star Nina Roz Pays Surprise Visit to She Cranes Training Camp

The Ugandan Female musician, Nina Kankunda aka Nina Roz paid a surprise visit to She Cranes training camp at TLC Kamwokya on Thursday afternoon.

The ‘Wangi’ hitmaker is one of the She Cranes ardent fans and before their go to Cape Town South Africa for the 2023 Netball World  Cup that is between late July and early August this year, Roz decided to pay a visit to her favorite team and to give them encouraging words as they represent the nation.

“I am her because of the love I have for She Cranes, I love my nation Uganda and proud of it.” She said before adding.

“There is a lot to the world but to the girls, one thing for sure I can say, believe in yourself and you God, there is a lot of distraction in the world but stick to what you believe in.” Nina advised players and the girl child in general.

While in New Zealand for Fast Five World Netball Series in November last year, She Cranes players danced to hit song by then dubbed ‘Bababana’ and the video went viral.

While speaking to this website, Nina Roz revealed that that video made her to love She Cranes the more and it’s one of the reasons as to why she visited them because they added a lot to the music industry.

“They added a lot and it’s some of the reasons as to why I am here because they are part of music as well and it shows togetherness and shows that we love our country and am here because these young girls chose to serve the country.” Says Nina Roz.

Nina Roz became the first Celebrity to visit the She Cranes camp and it is anticipated that the song for She Cranes will be out.

Uganda is in Group D with Trinidad and Tobago, New Zealand and Singapore.
