The State Minister for Sports, Hon. Hamson Obua through the powers vested in him by section 3(II) of the National Council of Sports Act (1964) has appointed the new Chairperson of the sports governing body in former FUBA president, Tashobya Ambrose and other ten board members.

Among the members to work with Tashobya for the next two years, include; former Uganda Netball Federation President, Susan Anek Nowell Ongom.

In real sense and in a straight world, the Netball family would be happy that their own, in Susan Anek is now among the members/the think tanks of sports development in the country however, according to her history and the news that have been circulating, Netball and their current president in Hon. Babirye Kityo Sarah could be in a serious problem.

How?

Few weeks back, audios linked when the former Youth Member of Parliament, Kityo was accusing Susan Anek, Africa Netball president Cecilia Molokwane and National Council of Sports General Secretary, Dr Bernard Ogwel for teaming up with the ‘agenda of fighting’ her out of the office she acquired through the powers of Netball family.

Now what happened, God confused madam Anek, she went on the other forum for the hand over of Uganda, because after getting misunderstanding there, I didn’t quite the forum but I did not type again, write or comment anything. So somehow, she didn’t know that I was still on that forum, she sent a met that am going to share with you. “ Kityo Sarah narrating to Uganda Federations presidents on their forum in an audio that linked.

“… reporting to the president of South Africa how the deal was done and how very soon Babirye and her team are going to be history….I took a screenshot, after posting that, I posted on the same forum saying, Congs team, she deleted whatever she had posted. ” The audio in Babirye’s voice Continues…

Those are the statements Babirye made about her predecessor, now the lady is on Board.

Remember, while writing to Africa Netball president Cecilia Molokwane in a WhatsApp group conversation, Anek assured the president that they are done with all Uganda Netball issues, Babirye and her team soon will be history and only formalities are remaining.

Now Anek is on board of National Council that make policies.

The dropped members; Stephen Assiimwe, Paul Luswata, Mark Ssali, Grace Abalo and Don Rukare who was the Chairperson.
