Nasib Mukasa Officially Unveiled As New Latifah Mixed SS Head Coach

Latifah Mixed Secondary School has confirmed the appointment of Nasib Mukasa as the school’s new head coach, revealing his first stint in Secondary School Football on Friday, 2nd February 2024.

The former Masaza cup Buganda winner was unveiled to the public on Friday, 2nd February 2024, at Kabimbiri R/C Primary School Playground.

According to Wilberforce Sserugo, the managing director of Latifah Mixed Secondary School, they considered coach Mukasa because of his experience in the beautiful game, Football.

“I am very excited because we have officially unveiled coach Mukasa as our new head coach. He is one of a kind who can play our style of play that is flowing, passing on higher speed style of play. “ Said, Sserugo Wilberforce, the managing director Latifah Mixed SS

“In the last two editions, 2022 and 2023, Latifah Mixed has managed to represent Mukono Zone at Nationals though we have not managed to win any trophy in the qualifiers, but this year our target is win Mukono District championship and Mukono Region championship”.

“We have put up a fight in the last two editions, but this year, we want to go as far as national semi finals and qualify for East Africa. Good enough, it is going to be hosted in Uganda”.

On the same ceremony, Latifah Mixed SS unveiled Twelve (12) new players with the aim of strengthening the team and creating options for coaches.

At the unveiling ceremony, coach Mukasa promised the supporters of Latifah Mixed SS that he know the brand he has joined.

“I know the brand that I have joined and their targets in addition to that, their (School) target doesn’t differ from mine.” There will be a lot of pressure, but together with my backroom staff, we will handle that and produce results expected from us”. Said, Nasib Mukasa

Mukasa brings on board experience, having coached Seeta United, Misindye, Kiwanga United FC, and currently at Synergy/Kayunga Town Council.

In 2014, 2016, and 2023, at Buluuli and he is a Buganda Masaza Cup champion with Bulemeezi.

Nasib Mukasa takes the void left by Jamadah Magaasi who parted ways with the club

Mukasa will be deputised by coach Wasswa as his assistant with more members of backroom staff to be unveiled.

As per the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association program, National Championship will be hosted in Masaka Buganda Region at Masaka Secondary School while East African Schools Championship be in the North East at Bukedea Comprehensive and Amus College
