betPawa Futsal Super League: Kawempe More of Tourists, Aidenal Registers Maiden win as Park Continues to park on Top

The first round of the 2023/24 betPawa Futsal Super League climaxed this week with six entertaining games at Old Kampala Futsal Arena.

Park FC remained unbeaten, securing their 10th victory in 11 games by defeating Kisugu 3-1 with goals from Michael Abura, Samuel Kalyango, and Africa Anthony.

This means, Park is seven points clear on top of the table with 31 points in 11 games, dropped only two, and this only draw came against Kabowa Dream Team FC.

Nansana ASKA dominated the second match on Thursday, defeating Kampala Junior Team 5-0, with Sinani Kiyaga and Ali Miti each scoring twice.

Following their seventh victory of the season , ASKA finished the first round in fifth place with 21 points, while KJT ended in 10th with 10 points.

Mengo City ended their winless streak on Thursday, triumphing 4-2 over Kabowa Dream Team, placing them seventh with 14 points, level with eighth-placed Kabowa.

On Friday, Kisenyi FC’s Julius Kassaga shone with five goals, leading his team to a 6-4 victory over second-placed Luzira FC.

Kisenyi and Luzira both have 24 points, trailing leaders Park by seven points.

Aidenal secured their first win, defeating Kawempe FC 4-0 in a one-sided game.

Kawempe FC remained the only side that didn’t enjoy the betPawa locker room bonus, registered no win, and the side that conceded many (76) goals and scored the least (13) in first round.

Lubaga Grameen also emerged victorious on Friday, beating Edgars Youth Programme 5-3 with Younis Abdullahi scoring twice.

Following Thursday and Friday games, Lubaga, Kisenyi, and Luzira share 24 points in their 11 games. The three sides now trail leaders Park FC by seven points.

After the first round’s conclusion, the 2023/24 betPawa Futsal Super League will take a 27-day break until February 29th when the second round resumes at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena.
