Nara Promotions Launches Sweet Science Reloaded Season Six

Nara Promotions has officially launched the sixth season of the Sweet Science Reloaded professional boxing series, with an exciting fight night scheduled for April 4, 2026 at Club Obligato in Kampala.
The event promises a thrilling evening of professional boxing action, headlined by an explosive middleweight contest between experienced fighters Ken “Mexico” and K.O Busungu. The bout is scheduled for eight rounds and is expected to be the highlight of a stacked fight card.
The night will also mark a significant milestone for Nara Promotions as their new signing, Nerrick Bulabe Tumusiime, a former student of Kololo High School, makes his professional debut. Tumusiime will face Frank Ngobi in a four-round super welterweight contest.
According to the organizers, more than 14 bouts will be featured on the card, showcasing some of the region’s most promising and established fighters.
Among the confirmed fights are Abdul Rama taking on Gerald Male in a six-round heavyweight bout, Frank Kiwalabye facing Tanzania’s Juma Nasoro in a six-round super bantamweight clash, and Bashir Ssekanyo squaring off with Jerry Katamba in the lightweight division.
Other notable fights include Paul Nkyambi Kayemba against Philly Musene in the middleweight category, alongside several additional bouts expected to complete the fight night schedule.
Fans wishing to attend the event will be able to purchase tickets under three categories: ordinary tickets priced at UGX 20,000, VIP tickets at UGX 50,000, and a table package going for UGX 500,000.
Speaking during the launch, the president of the Uganda Boxing Federation, Moses Muhangi, emphasized the federation’s commitment to regulating and supporting professional boxing promoters in the country.
“As a federation, our main objective in professional boxing is to regulate the sport and support promotion companies organizing boxing events so that the sport can grow and maintain a good image in Uganda,” Muhangi said.
He revealed that the federation has so far licensed more than eight boxing promotion companies and about 15 promoters across the country.
Muhangi also announced key reforms aimed at supporting the sport. He said the federation has scrapped the UGX 200,000 sanctioning fee previously paid by promoters and abolished the UGX 30,000 licensing fee that boxers were required to pay.
“Boxers should not pay any money for licenses. These changes are meant to support the growth and development of boxing in Uganda,” he added.
The Sweet Science Reloaded Season Six event is expected to attract boxing fans from across Kampala and beyond, as the sport continues to rebuild momentum with regular professional fight nights.
