With less a month to 2021 general elections, the Command in Chief of UPDF and the president of Uganda, HE Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni made some reshuffle in Security agencies and appointed his son Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba to head his security.
It’s now official, the First Son, Lieutenant General Muhoozi Kainerugaba who also doubles as the Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations has been appointed commander of the Special Force Command, a docket he once held before.
“By the powers conferred on the President by constitution and other laws, I have decided to make the following appointments involving the Army and the Police.” 
The President also reappointed the Inspector General of Police, Martin Okoth Ochola and his deputy, Man. Gen. Sabiti Muzeeyi was replaced with Maj Gen. Paul Lokech.
Maj Gen. Sabiti Muzeeyi taken back to GHQ for redeployment while Maj Gen. Birungi replaced Maj Gen. Paul Lokech who was taken to police, and Birungi is to take the Special Assignment in South Sudan.
The President said in document that the appointment of Army officers takes immediate effect while those in Police will pass through the Parliament approval.
Museveni also cautioned to take their job of protecting Ugandans and prevent unlawful ness amidst the citizens very serious and those who are not ready to work should leave the Police because many are waiting to take up their roles.
