Nazigo Town Council Football Club were on Saturday 27th, May crowned champions of Kayunga District Football Association 4th Division League on the ceremony held at Nazigo R/C Primary School playground.
The Farmers as baptized wrapped up the season with a 2 all draw against Bbaale United Football Club. Nasir Kafeero and Derrick Ikooza scored the two goals for hosts while James Kirinya netted a brace for the visitors.
Nazigo completed the season with Forty Two (42) points collected in Eighteen (18) games, scored twenty Eight (28) goals and conceded only Six (6) goals.
Natetta/Kayunga Town Council Football Club finished in the second position with Thirty Four (34) points from the same number of games played, in the 3rd position was Kayunga United FC with Thirty (30) points and the Bbaale United FC came in the 4th position with Twenty Nine (29) points.
Kayunga District Football Association was allocated Five (5) slots, Mukono District Football Association Nine (9) places while Buikwe District Football Association will be represented by Six (6) teams.
Nazigo Town Council Football Club will be joined by Nateta/Kayunga Town Council FC, Kayunga United FC, Bbaale United Football Club and the 5th placed side which will be determined after competitions committee ruling.
The teams in question are Latifah Mixed FC, Ndeeba Football Club and Kawoomya Football Club.
Buikwe will be represented by Nkokonjeru FC, Kalagala 11 Tigers FC, Mwana Conquerors FC, Malongwe United Football Club, Njeru Football Club and Naminya Football Club.
Mukono District Football Association will be represented by nine teams that is Legends FC who are the champions, Nantabulirirwa FC, Nantabulirirwa one, Kisoga United FC, Bajjo United FC, Shavie FC, Seeta Young Stars FC, Kimera United FC, and Seeta Nazigo FC.
Unlike earlier communicated where it was confirmed that Kayunga District will host this years Buganda Zone One play offs, Buikwe District will be the hosts and 11th June will bethe kick off dates.
Overall winner of the zonal play offs will gain promotion to Buganda 3rd Division League 2023/24 Football Season.
Last season, Sparks Sports Club Kirondo was promoted to Buganda 3rd Division League after defeating youthful Rays of Grace Academy by 2-1 scoreline in Kirondo.
