Hockey League: Weatherhead Seek to Maintain Top Seat

It is going to be week eight of the National Hockey League with leaders, Weatherhead meeting Thunders on Saturday at Lugogo.

The Thunders have a big task ahead of them, not stopping the leaders but also their attacking trio that has scored goals in double figures.

Thomas Opio scored 13 goals so far, Colline Batusa at 10 the same number with Maxwell Mugisha.

The same also has Moses Tushabe inside the top ten of the scoring chart despite they are also hard to breakdown defensively after conceding only 4 times this Season.

The fixture found Thunders in 6th position with 6 points and they are 10 behind their opponent and the table leader.

Weatherhead is on top of the table with 47 points, three above second placed Wananchi who will also be in action tomorrow facing Rockets Hockey Club.

Wanachi will take a heavier task to over take Weatherhead as they take on 3rd placed Rockets who is also in reach with just one off the top of the men’s league.
