Just In: Mujibu Announces to Stand For FUFA presidency
Proline football Club, director and a CAF coaches’ instructor, Mujibu Kasule officially announced to stand against Eng Moses Magogo in the ongoing FUFA Elections set to climax on 31st August 2021 in the Annual General Assembly.
Mujibu who atempted to contest against Magogo in 2017, and failed due to frustrations in the system, this time round is saying that he is coming back to rejuvenate the game.
“Basing on that background, I stand to announce that I am going to lead the struggle of rejuvenating our game. I am going to stand for FUFA presidency in this elections.” Mujibu announced while addressing media at Macknon Suits in Kampala on Tuesday.
Mujibu is saying that once he takes over, he will put much emphasis on National League.
He is saying that each club in Premier league will start every season with 100M on their accounts and then the 200M of free interest rate loan to which they will pay back in installments, and repay will be done in the third season from receiving.
In doing this, Mujibu wants clubs to regain back their fans who will help them make money both at gate collection and sponsors.
About FUFA Big League , Mujibu is proposing to increase money from the 200M they get to 700M and in the next thing is to find a sponsor for big league to supplement.
According to Mujibu, FUFA is going to remain doing the work as they meant to do. There is going to be a big Leagu board that controls it.
About the Uganda Cup, the winner shall represent Uganda in CECAFA competition.
Mujibu also want to decentralize the game back to regions, the active League. And Mujibu is saying that his government will raise it’s funding from the 25M they are getting to 125M but their target is to inject in One billion.
About CAF Club competitions, In Mujibu’s Manifesto, the champion of the league and the runners up will represent Uganda in CAF Champions league and Confederations Cup respectively and then the winner of Uganda Cup will represent the Nation in CECAFA competition.
