The former Kawempe Muslim LFC forward Anitah Namata after putting pen on a contract of one year at Kampala Queens, she revealed the secret as to why she opted to go with the defending champions than any other Club.

The forward Anita Namata was unveiled yesterday joining the Kampala Queens from FKF Women Premier League side Vihiga Queens FC on a one year contract deal.

Namata asserted that she wants to use Kampala Queens as a Pathway to Europe.

“I’m excited to join Kampala Queens, despite joining in the middle of the season my target is to be the MVP and top scorer.” Natama quoted during the unveiling.

“I chose the Queens of Soccer because they are the defending Champions and I want to improve on my achievements then get a team in Europe” she added.

Namata becomes Ayiekoh Charles’s first signing at the palace in this January transfer window and she joins the team’s front line to fill the void left by Margret Kunihira who completed her move to Tanzanian club, Grace and Fazila Ikwaput who found greener pastures in India.

Namata joins the palace with vast of experience having guided She Corporate FC to the finals of 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers Tanzania and also played a tremendous role in Vihiga Queens FC journey to 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers Uganda where the Kenyan side finished semi finalist at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
