FUFA Big League: Kataka FC Unveil Six New Players

Having missed on qualification to StarTimes Uganda Premier League last season, Kataka Football Club have turned focus on 2021/22 intending automatically.

Like the has been for the Mbale based side, on Sunday 28th, November they (Kataka FC) unveiled six new players ahead of the new season. The ceremony was held at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru. 

The new players unveiled are Muhammed Byafula, Usama Kahemba, Sharif Masai Twaha, Faragye Mugambe, Aka Makosi and  goalkeeper Muzamiru Nambobi.

“Kataka FC is always aiming at promoting talents in Eastern Region that is why we have decided to have these Boys play here”. Stated Hassan Kirunda, the Vice Chairman Administration Kataka FC 

“We are so grateful to Amus College School for giving us opportunity to have our Boys play there and have their (Players) developed”. Added Kirunda 

“A head of our game against Proline we only target a win because our focus is gaining promotion to the top tier league in Uganda Football”

Kataka has collected one point in their one game played which ended in a one all draw  and this came against Nyamityobora Football Club in Mbale. Hassan Wambeka scored for Kataka 

Kataka Football club will on Monday 29th November visit Proline at Philip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo

“We have camped in Jinja and trained at Njeru for now three days. We target nothing but victory when we face Proline in Kampala on Monday” Kirunda told this media after training at Njeru on Sunday afternoon.
