Finance Trust Women Super League: Nabukenya Shines as Kawempe Muslim Ladies Cruise to Fourth Straight Victory

Kawempe Muslim Ladies continued their impressive run in the 2025 FUFA Women Super League, defeating She Maroons 2-0 at Kawempe Grounds on Saturday, November 1, 2025, thanks to a brilliant brace from star forward Agnes Nabukenya.

The win marked Kawempe’s fourth consecutive triumph, keeping them level on 13 points with leaders She Corporates, who edge them only on goal difference.

Nabukenya opened the scoring in the 21st minute after confidently converting from the penalty spot following a foul on midfielder Dorcus Kisakye inside the box. The forward then doubled the lead 20 minutes later with a stunning long-range effort that left the She Maroons goalkeeper rooted to the spot — her third goal of the season.

Kawempe dominated much of the game, with Jovia Nakagolo, Latifa Nakasi, and Kisakye all missing opportunities to extend the lead in the second half. Despite the missed chances, the home fans were full of praise for Nabukenya’s sharp display and the team’s relentless pressing.

Head coach Ayub Khalifa’s side will now shift focus to their much-anticipated clash with table leaders She Corporates in Njeru — a game that could determine the early title race.

Elsewhere, She Corporates came from behind to edge Lady Doves 2-1 in Masindi, with Jessica Namanda netting the winner in stoppage time. In Bukedea, Asubo Ladies settled for a goalless draw against Amus College.
