Express FC Confirm The Departure Of Head Coach and Assistant

Following a 1-all draw with 9-man BUL FC on Tuesday evening, Express FC have confirmed that, they have parted ways with head coach James Odoch and his assistant Eric Ndifuna.

In a press release shared today 6th December, 2023, the statement reads;

On this day of 6th December, 2023, Express Football Club announces that the club, has ended their relationship with Mr. James Odoch and Eric Ndifuna.

The club would like to thank them for their tireless efforts as head coach and assistant respectively, during their time at the club and wish them success in their next career undertaking.

In the interim, Hassan Mubiru who is an intergral part of the technical team at the club, will take over.”

With two red cards, Express FC failed to beat BUL FC however, Odoch described the draw as a loss to them but the soggy stadium due to poor weather cost them.

Yesterday’s draw marked the fifth consecutive game minus winning a victory for Express FC, drawing three times and lost twice to Maroons and URA FC.

Express FC lost their key player and captain Allan Kayiwa in the transfer window who was the top scorer in the league last season.

The departure of Odoch and his assistants makes Express FC the third team to change the coach this season alongside URA FC and KCCA FC.

James Odoch, replaced Wasswa Bbosa in February last year and later secured a permanent contract in July and now leaves the club.

Hassan Mubiru’s first game in charge of Express FC will be against their rivals SC Villa on Friday 8th, December in Wankulukuku in a rescheduled encounter.
