King Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma has urged Rwenzururu subjects to execute cultural morals and practices to portray a good image of the kingdom.

The King sounded the message while at Kilembe Golf Course on Thursday as he was addressing his subjects and a section of invited politicians, cultural leaders, and religious leaders.

King Mumbere told the Rwenzururu subjects that they should promote cultural morals and values in a way of revamping the lost glory of the banya Rwenzururu.

He therefore, rose up a set of 5 principles as the Kingdom regains it’s Kingdom ship including, reconciliation, peace building, development, mindset change and unity alongside diversity.

He also stressed that it is an opportunity for the Rwenzururu Kingdom to prove it’s existence since recognition by President Museveni as a cultural kingdom in Uganda in 2009 by putting in action the above principles.

Mumbere just returned to his throne since 2016 when UPDF through the government of Uganda attacked his palace in Kasese, killed some royal guards, Palace members and arrested the Omusinga and other 217 members of the kingdom.

However, in June this year, the government through state prosecutor, dropped all the charges against the Omusinga and on 4th October, 2023 he returned to his palace in Kasese.
