CAF CC: Miracles at Test as KCCA FC Ought To Eject Abu Salim
The Uganda’s representatives KCCA FC, will take on Abu Salim in the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday evening 4PM at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende in the return leg.
KCCA FC lost the first leg 3-1 and they’ll need to win with a two goal margin to advance to group stages.
After the last training at Kitende yesterday, KCCA FC head coach Sergio Tragui was optimistic that his team can overturn the results and advance to the next round.
“We want to make a response in the second leg. The players are ready and know the responsibility at hand. We believe it as a team and we will try to go and overturn the result. We need to be in control of the game and avoid the mistakes we made in the first leg and try to convert the chances we get then we shall have a chance. We will give it everything.” Said the Tragui
KCCA FC will miss Musitafa Mujuzi who is suspended after being sent off in the first leg while new signings Mustafa Kiiza and striker Emmanuel Loki will miss out, the two joined the club when the registration window was closed.
Striker Muhhamed Shaban is back and the rest of the squad is available for selection to face Libya’s Abu Salim.
The Congolese Fitial Charel Just Kokolo was appointed as the center referee and will be assisted by fellow Congolese Prefina Jean Prislas Malanda and Beaudrel Beaudrel Ntsele Roul as the first and second assistant referees respectively.
Chynel Geo Bango from Congo will be the fourth official. Solomon Gebresilassie Abebe from Ethiopia was confirmed as the Match Commissioner while Bugingo Apollo Ahimbisibwe from Uganda was appointed the Medical Officer.
