CAF CC: Brian Aheebwa’s Hat-trick not Enough For KCCA to Propel To Next Stage On Continent

Uganda’s football side, Kampala Capital City Authority FC, (KCCA) painfully bowed out of continental football after failing to eliminating Ewan dense side AS Kigali despite a 3-1 win at home.

Brian Aheebwa, a fresh boy from Mbarara, the milk land, scored an hat-trick when KCCA FC beating AS Kigali 3-1 in a CAF confederation cup first preliminary round second leg fixture honored at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende on Wednesday.

Mike Mutebi’s boys entered into the game well know that they need a difference of three goals if they are to go through. In just less than one minute, Brian Aheebwa gave the kasasiro boys a lead before he doubled it five minutes to half time.

The game returned for last stanza when KCCA need only one goal to book their slot in second round, but in the 49th minute, Musa Ramadhan fouled in the area for visitors to get an open advantage.

Hakizimana Muhadjiri stepped up and struck the ball into the right bottom corner sending Lukwago the wrong way.

With 15 minutes to full time Brain Aheebwa bounced back to complete his hat-trick but it wasn’t enough to continue on the trail.

KCCA bowed out on away goals rule after a 3-3 goal aggregate.

AS Kigali who gotten a 2-0 first leg win via boardroom, they propelled to next level as Kasasiro boys wait for next season.
